If you are having a problem logging in or are getting a cookie error, try this:

  1. Close all browsers
  2. Open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer)
  3. Go to C:Documents and settings/YOURNAME/Cookies
  4. delete these two cookies:
and
Reopen your browser and you should be OK.

Everytime I am on campus I have a cookie error when I try to log in. In one lab I can go in internet explorer and delete cookies from Tools>Internet Options. In another lab, I have to follow the directions you listed to log in EVERY time.

I think if you log on three or more computers, then you start having a cookie problem. I dont have any problems logging on two computers.

This was one of the reasons I did not want to turn on multiple location logons. Nobody objected when a few members asked, so it was done. It can be convenient when using more than one computer but can be a pain if you forget to log off one location and do not want someone else using your account.

Russ, if you change the default option for the "keep me logged in", people will have to explicity check the box to stay logged in, else it will time out with the session.  That may be an easy solution to the problem above.

No, the problem that you are having with Shout is that the network port that it runs on is blocked by your works network.
